- Wire does not strip
- Check that insert size is correct for wire being stripped.
- Tighten collet on insert.
- Check that slots of insert are aligned with slots of collet.
- Check that insert is pushed back far enough into the collet.
- Check if insert is worn, and replace.
- Wire breaks when inserted
- Loosen collet on insert.
- Check that insert size is correct for wire being stripped.
- Check that there are no kinks or bends in the wire. Wire must be straight going into the insert.
- Motor does not run (Model L4 only)
- Check that air supply is adequate, 90 PSI, 3 C.F.M.
- Check the motor adjusting screw on underside of unit to ensure it is open. This screw orients an internal air port.
